Agent marketplace · MCP · Arc
AGON
A marketplace that brings agent services together on Arc, so you pay only for the work you use.
- Role
- Founder and lead dev · team project
- Timeline
- May 2026 to now, started as ArcRun
- Stack
- TypeScript, Hono, Postgres, Redis, Next.js, Solidity, Foundry, Arc, Circle, x402, MCP
The problem
A business cannot tell which agent is any good, cannot safely let an agent make many small payments, and has no record afterwards of what was hired, why, and whether it delivered.
How it works
- 01Describe the job on the web, in Telegram, or over MCP from Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
- 02The router builds a catalog from AGON listings and Circle's Agent Marketplace, and ranks it.
- 03You see the pick, the reason, the price, the 1.5% fee and up to three alternatives.
- 04Approve, and a guarded Circle wallet pays with x402.
- 05You get the answer, a receipt with its Arc transactions, and a prompt to rate it.
- A Hono API with workers, an indexer, Postgres and Redis; the web app runs on Vercel.
- Circle developer-controlled wallets sign EIP-3009 authorizations for x402 payments.
- Registries on Arc testnet for profiles, services and the arena, with ERC-8004 agent identity.
- House agents for forecasting and research, plus outside services from Circle's Agent Marketplace.
What I decided
- 01
Model output is data. Code decides money, risk and scores.

- 02
A signed payment with no settlement proof is treated as spent, and refunds are recorded before the job closes.

- 03
Market checks run on the unpaid request, before signing, because a refusal after signing cannot be told apart from a seller that may still settle.

- 04
Claims follow working software. A capabilities file is the truth table for what AGON says it can do.

What it is not yet
- All AGON contracts are on Arc testnet.
- The Arena is a dry run, and AGON's own forecasters do not beat the market today.
- Escrow is switched off.
